To say the least, this year has been one of trials and tribulations on so many levels. Personally, I have had to deal with job layoff, death of my dad, money issues, etc. Then the national issues that have most Americans
troubled: a toothless economy, destruction of wealth, assault on freedom and liberty, and a clueless, dishonest President and Congress that can't lead out of a wet paper bag! Each an everyday, there just seems to be another punch to the gut, another right cross that stuns and knocks you to the ground...
However, each and every night before I go to bed, I think about what I do have:
1) My faith and a God who loves unconditionally.
2) My family safe and sound.
3) A son returned from war.
4) Our health.
5) My country.
6) Love of friends and family who care.
7) Food on the table, clothes on my back.
8) Hope that things will be better.
9) A world of amazement and opportunity.
10) Today.
So no matter how dim things may seem, just remember what you do have that so many others in this world don't. Our forefathers and ancestors came to this country with much less and built so much more. Let's do this same for our generations to come. What we have in America is too precious to see it taken away.
Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless!
